Yesterday...

Went to Jalan Besar stadium to catch S League match between Sengkang Punggol and Gombak United. After all the hype about Sengkang being a force to be reckoned with giving their pre-season transfers, I've not been impressed at all. Direct, long ball football played under the management of German coach Jorg Steinebrunner, formerly of Woodlands United. Gombak on the other hand tried to play football and Agu Casmir was great in his targetman's role. Gombak won the game 1-0 and rightly so.

One thing that caught my attention was the brighter lightings from the flood lights, upgraded to meet the requirements for hosting of Youth Olympic events. On a side note, there was a 'weird' uncle seated just one row above me who was muttering to himself all the time, signing some funny, self-composed cheers in mandarin, mixed with 'live commentary' every now and then. Those of us seated around him were trying hard to concentrate on the match as well as to conseal our laughter. ^_^"

Right kneecap still hurts a little when kneeling/squatting. Guess yet to recover from the injury suffered from my tackle in my last soccer match. Meanwhile, just finished a season managing Inter Milan in my FM 09 game, winning the league and CL.
