Well, first of all, Happy Holidays to all my students, 'bro's and 'children' out there!
Been a short yet busy week with involvement in sch events and I'd probably did more traveling during over the pass 2 weeks for work than before. Went to Tanjong Puteri with the P6s who were there for their graduation trip. Wouldn't exactly brand it as enjoyable but we had a nice time together. As usual the kids especially lads for a couple of classes as well as those under my care were fun and loving. Though the trip was short - 2d1n, the flies there surely made the most out of us, ehm, at least me. LOL! Realised bites on my legs only a day upon returning. ^_^"
Was then designated by the P as representative of the sch at a book launch by the Huay Kuan and then brought pupils out for exhibition on the same day. Didn't did enough homework and realised I was at the wrong place only upon reaching Suntec Convention Hall. It was written as Singapore Convention Hall on the invitation card. Should've noticed the lack of hall numbers (cos those at Suntec do have that) . Ended up being late for about 5mins. Luckily the actual venue - Shenton Way, wasn't too far away from City Hall.
There was also the P6 and P1-5 Graduation and Thanksgiving Ceremony respectively. Must admit it was a bit of a wrench to see the P5 and 6s leave (as in to another level/class for the 5s and school for the 6s). That despite having taught/interacted with them for only about a quarter of the year. Can't imagine how I would feel when I go into the profession officially.
To wrap things up, we had our staff retreat yesterday. Bascially it was more for the ladies cos there were food, bird nests (for those who visited the factory) and seafood up for grabs at discounted prices. Needless to say, I went out empty-handed and returned likewise. :P
Went done to SLS today to grab a copy of Football Manager 2009 ended up a wasted trip cos the stocks were not in yet, despite today being the official on-sale date. Dropped by Funan to see if goods arrived earlier there but tough luck. Left my contact as the staff told me it will be here today albeit at later timing. Got a call later in the evening around 6plus pm and rushed down to buy a copy. To my slight surprise mine was considered as pre-order. Haha. Just wanted to be kept informed ended up saving $5.
Ok, that's all for now. Off to start my game of FM managing Liverpool FC liao. Wee!
