A different week...

Today marked the end of my four-day stint relieving a fellow colleague who went on course (basically 2 main classes - P3 and P6 CL). Basically the past few days till now have been hectic with lots of markings, since I gave out quite a lot of work (习字,听写,作业,作文,小测验。。。). Was supposed to take on her time table, which meant I didn't and needn't go in for my own classes for lessons. Alas, was asked to help out yesterday by 'taking back' two of my own periods cos of lack of personnel available to relief.

Talking about relief, that brings me back to my 'advantage' two days ago. Was called in early in the morning and 'entrusted' with the job of relieving (and I was supposed to teach, cos' apparently the subject teacher's pretty particular about quality time spent - which I do agree with. 1 hour is too much to be wasted) 2 periods of P6 science and social studies respectively.

'Curse' of the 'golden mouth' struck, I guess. Remembered back last yr when my colleagues and I were joking about me having virtually tried my hands on all subjects (personal core is CL, relieved EL, Math, Music for lower pri and subsequently took on PE and SS for upper pri, before taking on Art this year), except science. ^_^" So here it is, 'quota' completed.

Back to the main topic. Basically I'm pretty familiar with the P3 CL class cos I'm their Art teacher so the P6 class was more of an "eye-opener". The girls were pretty alright and reserved while the boys were more of a challenge. That said, having thought a couple of them before last yr and also managed another few in my previous yr's CCA, more or less had an idea what I was up against after my 1st session.

Overall, majority of them are fun-loving and just want over-curious at times. Of course there's the routine reprimanding but overall it was a fairly nice time - trying my hands on a new lvl for CL teaching, getting to know new/some lads better and 'honing' my marking skills. O_O"

Been approached by another colleague to make a brief 'return' to Badminton CCA and help bring some of the kids out for competition tml so kinda ironic way to end the week...
