The Past Week

School...

Aiyo, next time better 话不要说得太早。 >_< Said I can't wait for sch reopen. End up after 3 sch days can't wait for wkend to arrive. ^_^" Mon-Wed's lessons are all super early, therefore gotta leave home super early as well. Tue's the worse, cos 8 hrs of sch, 6 hrs of lesson and all are lectures, no tutorial that day. Halfway through the day very 'seh' (aka shag) already. Last Tue reached home 3/4 dead. Hope not the same case tml. Wed's the longest but since one of the module, which happens to be the last lesson for that day is more on wrapping up of last sem's project work, its not on every wk. Thank God!

Liverpool...

From a season of great expectation, after the 2nd place finish, Ronaldo's exit, Arsenal's lost of 2 key players, potential effect of African Cup of Nations to Chelsea's season due to the lost of players' services to one of increasing disappointment.

Alonso's exit. Johnson's arrival impact hugely minimised by his on-off injuries, Torres unavailability, Gerrard's dip in form, team's failure to handle defensive set piece situation, dodgy 20m signing of Aquilani, *that* beach ball in the Sunderland match that cost us a dear 1-0 defeat, Champions League exit thanks to late goals conceded in 2 of the grp matches. Torres, Gerrard, Benayoun now all out for a couple of wks at the same time. And the latest one, being the late equaliser conceded vs Stoke and Kuyt's strike against the post which could've gifted us a priceless win, seeing how Tottenham, Aston Villa, Man City all dropped points over the same wkend.

Should Rafa go? Well, no one were questioning him, his work and his abilities at the start of the season when many were predicting a successful title race for Liverpool. All the critics turn out in full force when things started getting wrong. If a guy is incapable, he's incapable. He doesn't turn from capable to being incapable, over the space of 6 mths. Simply put, ppl are just jumping on th band wagon. I don't see ppl commenting that he should leave at the start of the season. Why so now? 落井下石。见风使舵。乘你病,要你命。

I'm not blindly supporting him. 1stly, he has his flaws, he committed mistakes. That's undeniable. Alas, the manager doesn't play on the pitch. There is only so much that he can do. Players are not robots. They can't be programmed. Everyone has to shoulder part of the blame. Besides, one major issue is, there doesn't seem to be anyone more capable or of decent calibre to take over, should Rafa be sacked.

It is in times of adversity that shows you the making of a man. Afterall, doesn't ppl often say 'when the going gets tough, the tough gets going' and 'what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger'? We're ride out of this storm. Forget about top 4 for the moment. Forget about the Europa league now. Concentrate on the next game. Make gradual small steps forward. That's the most prudent and best way for us to bounce back.
